Managing your Anxiety & Staying Connected during COVID

The health, safety and wellbeing of the children, young people, adults and families we work with, as well as our employees, facilitators, carers and students is paramount.

Guidestar remains open for business – but we are modifying some of our approaches. Our clinicians are working from home and we have well established, secure, cloud-based information technology so that we remain a well-connected team.

We know that this is a stressful time for everyone –  parents, families and kids. Many schools are in partial or full shutdown and holidays have been brought forward. Kids are home or with relatives, they’re out of their routine, you’re out of your routine, everyone is feeling uncertain, frazzled and anxious.

If your loved one lives in a residential service, you may be worried about how they will go when their usual routines are interrupted and they are unable to access the community or day programs, or whether there may be a lack of consistent staffing available.
